Frequently Asked Questions

How can I, as a member of a community, help stop Human Trafficking?
If you are involved in an organization or profession that might encounter a trafficking victim (health care, sexual assault, homeless shelter, etc.), encourage staff and coworkers to learn how to recognize and assist trafficking victims.

Help publicize the National Human Trafficking Resource Center Hotline:  1-888-373-7888 Help survivors develop economic independence by purchasing survivor-made goods.  Patronize companies who support anti-trafficking efforts.  Buy fair trade. Write a letter to the editor of your local newspaper, create a blog, or write your local and state representatives to call their attention to the problem and urge them to act. Ask your local library to have books and films about human trafficking available for its patrons. Donate to an Anti-Trafficking Organization

How can I get involved? What can I do?
Identify local agencies and non-profits that provide services to human trafficking survivors and prioritize them in your philanthropic giving and Donate to them.

Invite a local Anti-Trafficking non-profit organization near your community to speak at your local event/church/school/business, any situation where awareness and education can be taught.  Help them raise funding, start your own Fundraising campaign, spread the word on Social Media platforms, friends and family.

Which countries are affected by human trafficking?
Human trafficking affects every country of the world, as countries of origin, transit or destination – or even a combination of all. Trafficking often occurs from less developed countries to more developed countries, where people are rendered vulnerable to trafficking by virtue of poverty, conflict or other conditions. Most trafficking is national or regional, but there are also notable cases of long-distance trafficking. The Americas are prominent both as the origin and destination of victims of human trafficking. Europe is the destination for victims from the widest range of destinations, while victims from Asia are trafficked to the widest range of destinations.

God tells us, to, “Learn to do right; seek justice. Defend the oppressed.” (Isaiah 1:17)

Now a cry is heard, a summons for relief from those victims of human trafficking. It is the new slavery. We can make that  difference to bring God’s restoration, His peace.

Please join me along with Rising Hope to combat human trafficking.

Everyday Matters: National Speaker

As we  travel and minister around the globe, we are constantly reminded of the serious issue of Human Trafficking.

Our Prayer is that our partnership with Rising Hope Foundation, through their awareness campaigns and their Fair Trade & Organic Coffees, will put all of us in a better position to help eradicate this modern-day slavery atrocity.
